Menerangkan apakah kehandalan produk itu? Menekankan bahwa tujuan kehandalan produk adalah Customer Satisfaction. Untuk itu perlu mendefinisikan yang dimaksud dengan Persyaratan untuk Customer Satisfaction. Bila kehandalan tak terpenuhi maka akan ditanggung yang disebut sebagai biaya kehandalan, kemudian diperlukan Benchmarking. Alat untuk mendapatkan kehandalan produk digunakan FMEA untuk memenuhi persyaratan customer, perlu dipahami evaluasi risiko produk, mencakup juga pemaparan tentang manajemen, perencanaan, perhitungan, analisis dan penanganan risiko.

  3. Mechanical and human reliability in engineering system
  4. Design maintainability, total quality management and risk management
